The fog arrived before we reached the road into Linville.
A quieter landscape
Trees appeared slowly through the mist and familiar distances became difficult to judge.
Fog removes detail.
It simplifies the world and encourages us to notice shape, movement and sound instead.
Seeing differently
The conditions were not what we expected.
That became the reason the journey felt special.
Adventure does not always come from finding the perfect weather. Sometimes it comes from accepting what the day gives us.
